Goodroe received a bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia and a masters in business administration from Mercer University. Her career in cardiovascular medicine includes key roles at Emory University Hospital and Saint Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta. Ten years ago she formed her own company, Goodroe Healthcare Solutions. She is recognized as a national leader in healthcare reform based on her extensive efforts with the Medicare Coronary Bypass Demonstration Project and her work in securing the only positive gainsharing rulings from the Office of Inspector General. She has consulted with over 150 hospitals and healthcare systems throughout the country. In addition, she has developed proprietary software that measures the cost and quality of cardiovascular and ortho/neuro programs.
