Orthofix Hires Chief Operating Officer

This morning, Orthofix International N.V. (NASDAQ: OFIX) announced that Alan W. Milinazzo, 45, has joined the Company as its Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Milinazzo joins Orthofix as an experienced hand in the medical device field with decades of experience, most recently, with Medtronic, Inc. At Medtronic, he held senior positions in the vascular business with a particular focus in the product launch, strategy and M&A areas. Prior to Medtronic, Milinazzo worked with Boston Scientific, Aspect Medical Systems and American Hospital Supply.
In this morning's press Orthofix CEO Charles Federico stated that "Alan Milinazzo represents a significant hire for Orthofix. His proven track record and knowledge of the medical device industry at companies such as Medtronic and Boston Scientific, combined with his tremendous success at acquiring and launching new, minimally invasive products on an international scale, will have an immediate impact on the New Business Development and International activities of Orthofix," Federico continued, "Alan's addition strengthens an already successful executive management team that has a great deal of industry experience. Together with them, he will help provide the required continuity for the future."
