Alan Milinazzo to Lead Orthofix

Orthofix International, N.V. announced after the market close that Alan W. Milinazzo, the Company's Chief Operating Officer (COO), has been promoted to Group President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective April 1. He will succeed Charles W. Federico, who will remain a Director of the Company.
Milinazzo, who was brought in last September, is familiar to many as a an experienced Medtronic and Boston Scientific executive with a strong product launch and M&A background.
It turns out that Milanazzo's engagement was more than a COO hire. His appointment was part of an orderly and responsible succession plan developed by Charlie Federico and his Board.
