Vancouver, Canada, April 19, 2007 /PRNewswire/--MicroDTI announced the appointment of Edward Shellard as its Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Shellard is a well-respected dental industry executive and was most recently the President of Kerr.
Ed had his own private practice in Rochester, NY from 1987 to 1994. During this time, Ed also consulted for the Dental Products group of Eastman Kodak. In 1994, Ed sold his practice to join Kerr, one of the oldest and most well-respected dental products company in the world. Since then, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in clinical affairs, business development, R&D, marketing, and was instrumental in the acquisition and integration of numerous companies. Most recently, he served as President of Kerr, which during his 13 years there grew from a $120 million to a $300 million division of Sybron Dental Specialties and Danaher Corp. Ed has a BA from Ohio Wesleyan University, a DMD from Case Western Reserve University Dental School and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
