Mr. Nicholas Pachuda, VP Clinical Affairs Medical Education
Mr. Nicholas Pachuda will be responsible for the development and execution of the company’s scientific advisory boards, strengthening the participation in spine societies, as well as overseeing planned FDA clinical trials. He will also support key strategic commercial development initiatives. He brings with him a diverse 22-year background in orthopedics, both on the clinical and commercial side. Most recently he served as the Senior Vice President of Medical Education and Clinical Studies at Small Bone Innovations (SBi) where he was responsible for developing and executing global surgeon and sales education & training programs. He has extensive experience in developing clinical studies, surgeon relations, and professional society relationships. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Biology. He attended the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine where he received the degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Before joining the medical device industry, Mr. Pachuda served as a foot and ankle surgeon for 10 years. As a surgeon and researcher, he authored multiple scientific articles and textbook publications.
Mrs. Anca Mitulescu, Director of Clinical Affairs
Mrs. Anca Mitulescu will be responsible for the company’s clinical studies as well as the scientific communication in coordination with the marketing. Her role will also consist of managing the Strategic Advisory Board outside the USA. For over 7 years Mrs. Mitulescu has served as a Scientific Communication Manager for Eurosurgical, Scient’X and SpineNetwork. Her duties and responsibilities included the management of clinical studies and biomechanical research projects for the group and the coordination and execution of scientific articles and medico-marketing publications. Additionally, parallel to her mission for the group, Mrs. Mitulescu served as the Editor-In-Chief of ArgoSpine News & Journal (formerly ARGOS SpineNews) for over 6 years. Mrs Mitulescu is an engineer graduate of the Polytechnic University “Gh. Asachi” of Iasi, Romania. Prior to joining Eurosurgical in 2001, she earned a PhD in Biomechanics at the Laboratoire de Biomécanique, ENSAM, Paris, France, with a thesis on the biomechanics and 3D imaging of the scoliotic spine. Mrs Mitulescu is the author and coauthor of multiple scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, textbooks and medico-marketing publications.
Mrs. Mariana Castillo Beltran, Clinical Study Coordinator
Mrs Mariana Castillo Beltran, MD, reinforces the clinical affairs team and will be responsible for the set-up and coordination of clinical studies worldwide. Mrs Castillo Beltran brings with her 4 years of experience as a medical doctor and clinical researcher. Mrs Castillo Beltran graduated from the Medical School of the University of Mexico and recently earned her Master degree in Health Systems Organization and Sciences, with a specialization in clinical research.
