Nobel Biocare Announces Partnership with Noritake
BY LAUREN UZDIENSKI, FEBRUARY 25, 2010
On Tuesday Nobel Biocare announced that it would expand its Preferred Partner Program to include Noritake Dental Supply. The company says the partnership "enables Nobel Biocare to offer superior end-to-end prosthetic solutions."
Based in Nagoya, Japan, Noritake Dental specializes in ceramics and is a subsidiary of a diversified electronics, industrial and materials manufacturer. In the press release, Nobel praises Noritake's "outstanding expertise in dental ceramics, veneering and framework materials" and says Noritake's product offering will complement Nobel's new scanner technology, software and existing line of prosthetic options.
Noritake is the third company with which Nobel has announced a "preferred partnership," a program introduced earlier this year. The other two companies in the program are Ivoclar Vivadent, which offers ceramics and acrylics, and VITA Zahnfabrik, which specializes in veneers. What makes the partnership program unique is that beyond providing Nobel access to innovative materials, the companies intend to work together to develop new materials as well as collaborate on educational and training programs as well as other commercial activities.
