Gary Stevenson, Managing Director of HealthpointCapital, hosted the 23rd annual Musculoskeletal New Ventures Conference (www.mnvc.org) on November 4-5 in Memphis, TN. For the first time ever, the MNVC was a sell out, so it was our largest event ever with more than 225 people in attendance. A potent mix of investors, entrepreneurs, surgeons, and business development teams from the major strategics rely on the MNVC for the latest updates on new and emerging trends in the musculoskeletal industry.
- Entrepreneurs from 42 private musculoskeletal companies at various stages of development presented this year, including first-time presenter Ben Burnham from ImmersiveTouch.
- Two other portfolio companies were also on this year’s agenda.

- Mike Mogul introduced and Gary Stevenson moderated a panel of active early-stage venture capital investors focused on promising opportunities in the musculoskeletal sector.
- Charles Hamilton, Managing Director and Senior Partner of Piper Sandler, provided an overview of the current financing and M&A environment for private musculoskeletal companies.
- At the opening session, we announced plans for the inaugural AAOS | HealthpointCapital Investment Insights Forum to be held at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons annual meeting on Tuesday, March 3rd.
