ANDREW "DREW" E. SENYEI, M.D., has more than 25 years of experience in the building of emerging, life science and healthcare companies.
Dr. Senyei has served on the Boards of more than 30 private and public companies. He was the founding investor and Chairman of Nuvasive, one of the largest and fastest growing musculoskeletal spine surgery companies in the US, with revenues in excess of $1B. He was named one of the top 100 Venture Capitalists in the U.S. by Forbes Magazine's 2006 Midas Touch List. In addition to serving on the Board of Trustees at Northwestern University, he is the Co-Chair of UCSD's California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology. Dr. Senyei is also a member of China's Leadership Advisory Board at the UCSD School of Global Policy and Strategy. Dr. Senyei received his MD from Northwestern University and served on the faculty at the University of California, Irvine, prior to becoming active full time with venture capital funding of medical companies.
